Why is there no phone number on your site? We gather the information you provide and send it to several different moving companies. It is an automated system and to continue to keep it optimal, quick and free of charge, the overhead of a call center is not a priority for MovingTruckService.com at this time. We would like feedback on the above decision if you would like to share.
Can my children watch the move? For safety reasons, we recommend that your children stay with friends or family on your moving day. If they have to be present, make sure they are carefully supervised at all times.
Can my movers transport my barbeque? Yes, but they can’t transport any propane tanks. You must remove any tanks attached to the barbeque grill before the day of your move.
How can I ensure that special items will treated with extra-special care? You can move some of the items that have high sentimental or monetary value yourself. If you prefer to let your movers complete this task, make sure you clearly indicate which items you would like them to take special care with during the move.
Should I store items that won’t fit in my new home? You can choose to store items that won’t fit. However, if you have items that are old or have little value, you may be better to sell or donate them instead of paying the high cost of storing them for a long period.
Why is the cost for traveling higher for moving trucks? The costs of driving time are normally higher because moving trucks can’t travel at the same speed as regular vehicles on highways. They also can’t access any non-truck routes which results in longer mileage.
Will my movers clean my home once my move is complete? Most professional movers will clean up any mess they have made during the actual move. However, they don’t perform general house cleaning so you must hire a professional cleaning service or perform this task yourself.
What should I do with the food in my fridge? You must empty your refrigerator before moving it, so we recommend transporting your food and other perishables in a cooler during your move.
What is a bulkhead? This is a divider or partition that separates your items from the rest of the trailer or moving truck.
Will I have to pay for anything besides labor costs for my move? Yes, you may have to pay for required packing supplies and for special care required to pack delicate or oversized items such as televisions or pianos. Make sure to discuss these fees with your moving company before your move.
